Monograph Health system of the Slovak Republic
In November 2020, Peter Pažitný published a monograph Health System of the Slovak Republic in a professional publishing house Wolters Kluwer.
The aim of the monograph is to explain the organization of the health system in Slovakia after 2004 and to present the reasons that led to the organization of the health system based on managed competition. Peter clarifies the social goals of the health system and presents a system of legislative incentives and regulations that define the organization of the Slovak health system with an emphasis on health insurance companies as key players in the health system. The essence of the monograph is to identify management tools in health insurance companies in the field of basic business strategies, acquisition strategies and strategies for purchasing health services.
